Is your refrigerator not working? It could be because the power plug is not connected or the home breaker circuit or fuse is off. Besides that, you could also check for the refrigerator door and ensure that no food or containers are obstructing the proper closing of the refrigerator door. If none of this could solve the problem, then the refrigerator is probably at the defrost mode.

Instructions

    • 1

Spray general-purpose household cleaner on the scratch and surrounding area on the Sub-Zero stainless-steel refrigerator. Wipe the area clean with circular motions using a soft cloth. Let the surface air-dry for an hour.

    • 2

Have an assistant hold the beam of a flashlight on the scratch so that you can see it without any difficulty whatsoever. Make a note of the direction that the steel’s “grain” runs; this is similar to that of wood grain and can be seen by tilting your head back and forth to catch the reflections coming off the surface.

    • 3

Place an edge of the nonabrasive pad against one side of the scratch. Press the edge against the scratch and drag the pad along the length, following the direction of the “grain,” with a single, long swipe. Lift the pad off the surface of the refrigerator once you have reached the other end of the scratch. Repeat this step twice.

    • 4

Inspect the scratch area. If the scratch is still visible to the eye, repeat step 3 until it is not. If the scratch can no longer be seen, buff the area with a soft cloth for 20 seconds using small, circular motions.

    • 5

Turn the flashlight off and thank your assistant for the help.
